Discipline lead supervising, training, and motivating three person team responsible for implementation and support of all engineering software and hardware for Petro-Canada RCP projects. Responsible for development of procedures and documentation for use of Bentley AutoPlant piping, structural, electrical and mechanical packages. Provide custom application development as required by project.

• Develop and implement custom Quality Control / Quality Assurance application and reports for 3D models. These reports are run on a weekly basis and distributed to the design staff. The addition of these reports reduced errors in models by 90%.
• Create custom clash-check reporting application and procedures for project use. The application is used to compile reports generated from Bentley ExplorerID into a more usable format for the disciplines.
• Develop custom Material Take Off reports for use by Materials Management. This reduced the total MTO process from 10 hours to 10 minutes.
• Develop custom Isometric revision tracking system. This system tracks all Iso revisions and provides instantaneous access to the latest revision to project members.
• Institute and run weekly Quality Moment meeting. These meetings provide a mechanism to review current model status, tips and tricks, mini training sessions and procedural updates to the design staff.
• Develop specialized ad hoc reporting procedures and templates for use by support team. This reduced time to provide ad hoc reports to team members by 80%

Developed Visual FoxPro, Visual Lisp and Visual Basic Applications and oversaw systems administration of internal network. Manage entire life cycle of application development from installation, customization, debugging, and deployment. Managed annual budget, evaluated new software and hardware purchases, and provided technical support and guidance to staff.

• Tasked with migration of an existing FoxPro 2.6 Workflow management application to Visual FoxPro. The migration consisted of solving many UI and architectural issues with the existing application. When complete, the application will save over $170,000 a year in recouped man-hours.
• Negotiate new contracts with Telecom and Data providers to save the company $2,000 per month in service charges and fees.
• Develop custom AutoCAD application to generate drawings for Discovery Zone Company. Reduced an eight-hour process to 10 minutes and allowed the firm to outperform two competitors with larger staffs.
• Brought in as production coordinator and mentor to guide the existing project manager in the completion of field measuring 3 million square feet of facilities for Florida Power & Light.
